On 4th February, 1987 Mr. Domenico Laera began a new challenge.
Not casually, he decided to realize his most recurrent dream; to put at his customer’s disposal the passion for Alberobello territory peculiarity and tradition.
After having restructured a group of Trulli where till then there was one of the most important Apulia wine merchant’s owned by himself, being not fit to his tourist target anymore, he wanted to let people know what parents and grandparents have been handing down their children: “love and passion for one’s own land”.
Being situated in Alberobello old town, built in Trulli dating back to 1400, looking from inside, you can see the building conical shape made of living stone and if you go upstairs to the terrace, you can be among those magical cones. Inside you can immerse yourself in a sort of farm museum, where, looking up to the wall, you can see: a plough, some baskets, coal ironic, big bells, cousapiatt, etc.
In this rural environment, Apulia traditional dishes are mainly suggested.
In such a region cooking, tradition and creativity give shape to unique and genuine dishes put together as long ago. In the kitchen, Domenico is supported by cooks like Mr Giuseppe De Leonardis and Mr Cosimo Zaccaria who, under the owner’s careful check, transform in dishes what our farmers till in Alberobello surrounding land.
In the dining room, together with his famous wine waiter experience, Domenico Laera is helped by Mr Cosimo Miraglia and Mr Giovanni Bagordo who look after customers, setting up a kind and direct relationship with the same, also by letting them discover old tastes elsewhere forgotten. The cellar is supplied with wine only coming from Apulia producers.
On the menu you can find more than hundred labels mostly from local vineyard.
